Welcome! I’m Natalie, Owner of Barefoot Beginnings, Certified Breastfeeding Specialist (CBS) and Lactation Consultant Intern currently working on clinicals toward board certification to become an IBCLC.
At Barefoot Beginnings, we understand personally and professionally the host of obstacles that expectant and postpartum parents face. From little to no parental leave, lack of childcare, lack of quality nursing and pumping rooms in the workplace, and the many challenges that can arise with feeding baby, growing families, traumatic births, health conditions, etc. We tend to internalize these shortcomings as our own, and this can unintentionally hinder our ability to accept support.
That's why at Barefoot Beginnings, we take a holistic approach to care, utilizing a social work lens, taking into consideration your health history and current experiences. We provide evidenced-based practice and respectful, inclusive, affirming care and advocacy. (And we do a LOT of training and work behind the scenes to ensure we are 'walking the talk' here!) We want you to feel seen, heard, and valued, and we want to protect and preserve your right to bond with your baby. It is the greatest honor to be invited into your sacred space to support you every step of the way.
We are located in Burleson, TX and proudly serve the South Fort Worth and Johnson County area in-home and via secure telehealth visits. If you reside outside of these areas, we can serve you via secure telehealth, or connect you with a lactation provider near you.
